Bard Night

What is Bard Night?

Glad you asked!

TheatreRats meets a few times a year to read The Bard's works, as well as other pre-1900 theatre suggested by those who attend.  This meeting is led by TheatreRats’ Artistic Director Alexis M. Hadsall and usually falls on a Saturday evening around 6 or 7pm and lasts for about 2 to 3 hours, depending on the length of the show we’re reading.

This is a FUN & laid back evening where roles are drawn from a hat for each Act so that everyone gets to read multiple roles.  Girls may read for male roles and vise versa.  This group then discusses fun ideas & concepts for performing that show IF it were to be chosen by TheatreRats' Artistic Directors.

Following the reading the group all heads over to a bar nearby for food, drinks and phenomenal banter!

So come join us! Read some Shakespeare, have some fun, have a drink or two or three...we'd love to have you join the family!

Note:
Unfortunately the hard times of our economy have trickled down to us as well and  we cannot afford to do this every month as originally planned (space to meet costs money)  but if you have space for a group of 10 people to meet, read, and chat for cheap or free (even better) and there’s a bar nearby we can all saunter over to afterwards…please…let us know.  Just email Alexis at alexis@theatrerats.com and title the email BARd Night Space.  Thanks!
